The Royal Bell is a celebration of life venue in Bromley, hosted inside one of the town’s most opulent and prestigious settings, a Grade II listed landmark on the High Street. We don’t simply mark this day, we open a truly special space for it, and we understand how much that matters.

The Library

34 seated or 50 standing

A quiet, book-lined room for a close family gathering or a fuller celebration of life. Fitted with high-spec AV, so photographs, videos, or a tribute reel can play throughout your gathering.

The Garden Room

40 seated or 50 standing

A bright, daylight-filled room with windows onto the garden and direct access outside, well suited to a spring or summer gathering.

The Royal Hall & Terrace

40 – 150 guests

The Royal Hall is our Grade II listed ballroom, the largest room at the Royal Bell in Bromley, for a fuller send-off with space for everyone who wants to be there. AV equipment included as standard.

Additional rooms are also available. Get in touch and we’ll talk through the full range at a private viewing.

Simple Pricing, Per Head

One flat price per person, for a gathering of around 3 hours following the service. Our celebration of life packages in Bromley come with no minimum spend. Rooms are available across the working day, so we can fit around your crematorium or burial time.

Our Staff

Our experienced team have supported many families who have sadly lost a loved one, and who chose the Royal Bell to give them the send-off they deserved. We understand what today means, because we’ve done this before.

Our staff are here to support you, and to make sure your celebration of life gathering is delivered well and sensitively, from the first phone call through to the last guest leaving.

You shouldn’t have to ask twice, or explain what the day needs. Our team knows how to be there without being in the way, refilling a teapot, clearing a plate. When you do need something, someone is always close enough to notice.

Personal Touches for Your Send-Off

We understand that not every send-off is traditional, and we’re open to adding whatever special touch feels right for you.

Here at the Royal Bell, we know the little touches mean a lot, whether it’s a playlist reminiscent of your departed loved one, or their favourite drink behind the bar. We can attend to those details.

For family and friends travelling to be there, whether from across South East London or further afield, the Royal Bell’s 14 individually designed guest rooms mean the day doesn’t have to end the moment the gathering does. The Royal Bell is at 175 High Street, Bromley, BR1 1NN.

Beckenham Crematorium and Cemetery, the closest crematorium to Bromley, is around 3 to 4 miles away, roughly 10 to 15 minutes by car via the A222, making the Royal Bell a convenient funeral reception venue near Beckenham Crematorium as well as for families travelling from other locations.
